photojournalistic wedding photographer toronto
AS a photojournalistic wedding photographer toronto, I’m committed to shooting the moments that really happen at the wedding. I joined a number of documentary style wedding photographer associations with the goal of improving my skills and level, THIS IS REPORTAGE is one of this kind of associations which have 4 times documentary style photos contest every year. My favorite past is the wedding story contest, from a wedding shoot, choose 15-20 works to tell the story that happened on the wedding day.
The reason why i choose THIS IS REPORTAGE is, i do really love what they said on the website : Because moments matter most, showcasing the very best in documentary wedding photography: Nothing staged, no poses, just pure, natural images taken by some of the world’s very best photographers. And also the way they describe the wedding story: We have two different types of awards: Reportage Awards, for individual frames, and Story Awards, for a series of images from a single wedding – because we want to recognise both those single great moments, and the skill of creative storytelling.
A photojournalistic style of wedding photography takes its cue from editorial reporting styles and focuses more on candid images with little photographer interaction; a wedding photojournalist typically shoots images quickly using available light or on-camera flash rather than using traditional, formal posing techniques and studio lights.
I am so excited to win one wedding story award from Collection 13 of THIS IS REPORTAGE, which is the first Collection of 2020! It is very difficulty to win, since only a very small percentage photos be chosen as winners from thousands of entries, Reportage Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images, all from a single wedding, and it was also incredibly tough to attain one of these, with just the top 6% of submissions awarded.
Looking forward to have something amazing more happen in 2020.
